Kristiansund, Dale.
WB Norwegen, Art.Gr. Kristiansund, H.K.B. Nordtlandet 4/976, 4x8,8cm Flak.

This battery is located east of Kristiansund near the small village of Dale. When you enter the town, follow the only main road till you reach a construction site. The battery is located below the cliffs on a small peninsula.

The battery is beautiful; nicely integrated bunkers in the rocks, extraordinary camouflage on the fire-control bunker and loads of original wooden parts. The battery, four emplacements for 8,8cm Flak, has a direct view at the entrance of the harbour of Kristiansund. The battery is of light construction and there are no ST bunkers. The Germans have made a large underground system in the rocks, presumably to store ammunition. The site is completed by a small landing stage, several stone wall living quarters, a huge barrack foundation and several Vf bunkers for various purposes. This battery is one of the most beautiful and interesting places we have visited in our Norway trip. The amount of bunkers that is built on a relatively small space is very special.

Kristiansund, Karihola.
WB Norwegen, Art.Gr. Kristiansund, M.K.B. Kristiansund 3/305, 3x15cm.

North-west of the city centre of Kristiansund, near the coast,  the battery is located. See GPS data for exact location, with Google Earth for example. The battery is located on top of a hill going straight trough a residential area.

There are actually two batteries mixed together, a Naval battery and a Flak battery. We have found a total of 10 emplacements for various calibres. At least three of them are fore the 8,8cm Flak (We are not sure about the fourth one) and three emplacements are for the 15cm Naval guns. There is a small emplacement for a 2cm Flak and several emplacements are unknown to us in means of what kind of gun/object had been placed in it. The fire-control bunker, a Vf strength SK Bunker has a very thick armoured covering plate for a relatively small bunker. On top of the bunker there is also a steel mounting for the range finder. One of the bunkers, an ammunition bunker, has been modified by the Norwegian army after the war. The site is completed by lots of Vf bunkers for various purposes, such as shelter for personnel or ammunition.

Types:
4x Flak 8,8cm emplacement
3x Gun emplacement for Uto C/16 L/45.
1x Vf Fire control post.
1x Flak 2cm emplacement.
1x Vf ammunition bunker.
5x Vf bunker for various purposes.
2x Unknown emplacement.
Kristiansund, Brunsvikbukta.
WB Norwegen, Art.Gr. Kristiansund, Inland defence around the MKB.

North-west of the city centre of Kristiansund, near the coast, is the MKB battery located. The battery is located on top of a hill going straight trough a residential area. The inland defence line lays 300m in front of the hill and goes from near the sea about 500m inland. We started at a street called Brunsvikveien, which is located in a residential area, near the water and a small bay. See GPS data for exact location.

The big 105b casemate for a MG is clearly visible next to the road; its armoured plate is still present, but the inside is very much damaged and filled with rubble. Around the hill are several Tobruks, MG positions and a nice Wellblech at the front of the hill. The trenches are still visible which makes it even nicer to see.
The two other bunkers, a 502 with a cupola and a bunker with a green (?) cross, Vf Navy type Ammo, next to one of the entrances, are located 200m more towards the MKB in the middle of the residential area.

Types:
1x 105b Machine gun casemate.
1x 502 Twin group bunker, with cupola.(Batt. HQ)
1x 676 Small embrasured emplacement for 4.7cm fortress anti-tank gun (t).
1x Ammunition storage type Marine.
1x Vf or ST bunker?
1x Wellblech shelter.
1x Vf garage.
1x Siegfried shelter.
2x Tobruk58c.
2x MG post.
2x Man holes.
Kristiansund, Kvalvik.
WB Norwegen, Art.Gr. Kristiansund, H.K.B. Kvalvik 3/976, 4x12cm.

This battery is located in the village Kvalvik (Kvalvag) near Rensvik, just outside Kristiansund. Follow the road along the coast and there are signs to Kvalvik and to the museum itself. The bunkers are mostly open. Some of them are only accessible during opening hours of the museum.

The battery, four times 12cm guns, is beautifully located, with an excellent view at the Fjords. The emplacements are all there. Each with an additional 621 personnel bunker and two emplacements with an 607 ammunition bunker. The firing instructions came from a Sk fire-control bunker 636. There is a stairway inside to an underground system with a large room and a sort of small communication room. The site is completed with several smaller constructions and a nice 15cm Naval gun, a 12cm Field gun, two 53cm torpedo's and a small submarine.

Types:
4x Gun emplacement for 12cm K370 (b).
4x 621 Group bunker.

Kristiansund, Dale.
WB Norwegen, Art.Gr. Kristiansund, Torpedo Battery Nordlandet, 4x53cm.

Near the village of Dale, outside (east) Kristiansund, the battery is located. From the village of  Dale take the road to the east, this is the Glosvagveien. Take the fourth road to the left, along the bay. Follow the road till it ends at a parking place. Follow the path up the hill and walk towards the coast, you need to walk in a north-easterly direction and then you'll find the bunkers near the water.

The bunkers, a huge SK bunker for the 52cm torpedo tube and some smaller constructions are all accessible. The Sk bunker is connected to a nice underground system. Be aware, it is very dark and very wet. The opening for the firing tube looks very nice, unlike other torpedo bunkers, this one had only one tube which could fire in all directions. This meant that there was a bigger opening so they were vulnerable. The other constructions are a Vf personnel bunker and an additional Flak position.

Types:
1x SK Torpedo bunker for 4x53cm, two stores.
1x Vf personnel.
1x Flak emplacement.
1x Small harbour, landing stage.
1x Remains.
Kristiansund, Innlandet.
WB Norwegen, Art.Gr. Kristiansund, Innlandet.

In Innlandet, a part of Kristiansund, just after you've crossed the bridge an entrance is located. We found this entrance into the hill. The entrance looks German with its armoured door. We are not sure where this entrance leads to. Perhaps it is part of a command/hospital system inside the hill.

Types:
1x Entrance to tunnel.
